Course Description

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to operate a slewing mobile crane up to 60 tonnes. This unit applies to those working in site-based roles. 

Licensing/Regulatory Information 

Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and industry sectors, and must be sourced from state jurisdictions prior to applying this unit. 

Selection Criteria

  • Reading and writing – a learner will be able to read, comprehend and write a range of texts within a variety of contexts. 
  • Oral communication – a learner will be able to use and respond to spoken language including some unfamiliar material within a variety of contexts. 
  • Numeracy and mathematics – a learner will be able to recognise and use a variety of conventions and symbolism of formal mathematics.

Safety Requirement

As a minimum, slewing mobile crane up to 60 tonnes participants are required to wear closed in shoes (no singlets will be permitted)

A non-refundable Administration Fee of $100 is to be paid, this is included in the full course fee and is not additional to the fee shown above.

Mode of Assessment

Participants will be required to complete a written theory assessment and undertake a practical assessment.
